Rohit Nandwani launched Hammer Lifestyle in Panipat, Haryana, in 2019 to cater to young digital natives seeking aesthetically designed, precision-engineered smart wearables without paying luxury international markups.
Bootstrapping the company to substantial profitability, Nandwani appeared on Shark Tank India Season 1 seeking ₹30 Lakh for 3% equity. In one of the most intense negotiation showdowns of the season, Aman Gupta (co-founder of rival boAt) offered an outright buyout before eventually negotiating a 40% strategic stake for ₹1 Crore at a ₹2.5 Crore valuation to mentor the brand.
Following the Shark Tank exposure, Hammer expanded its product line, multiplied top-line monthly revenues by over 5x, and established itself as a leading lifestyle electronics brand across Amazon, Flipkart, and quick-commerce channels.
