Johannes Schildt studied business and economics in Stockholm before getting involved in early digital ventures. In 2015, observing the chronic delays patients faced getting appointments with primary care physicians across Europe, Schildt partnered with Fredrik Jung-Abou, Josefin LandgĂĄrd, and Joachim Hedenius to found Kry.
Kry developed an intuitive app where patients could connect with certified physicians and psychologists via video within minutes, receive prescriptions, and coordinate physical referrals. When COVID-19 struck, Kry became a vital pillar of European public health infrastructure, rolling out free telemedicine tools to doctors in 10 countries.
Backed by Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, Index Ventures, Accel, and Creandum, Schildt expanded Kry into an omnichannel healthcare provider that combines digital consultations with a network of physical clinics, transforming how millions access primary medical care.
