Pritesh Mahajan graduated in mechanical engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University. Coming from Nashik, Mahajan recognized that while the Indian EV market was obsessed with sleek, high-speed scooters for urban tech workers, the real economic workhorses of India were gig-workers, delivery couriers, small kirana merchants, and farmers carrying heavy cargo on 100cc petrol bikes.
In 2021, alongside Jayesh Tope and Pushkaraj Salunke, Mahajan founded Revamp Moto. Revamp engineered the 'RM Mitra' and 'RM Buddie 25'—modular electric utility two-wheelers featuring modular attachments like insulated delivery boxes, folding child seats, cargo crates, and mobile phone charging stations.
On Shark Tank India Season 1, Revamp Moto wowed the judges with functional physical prototypes, securing a ₹1 Crore deal for 1.5% equity from Aman Gupta and Anupam Mittal. Revamp Moto has since set up manufacturing in Maharashtra, partnering with battery swapping infrastructure providers across the country.
