Ishan Bansal graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani in 2008, going on to earn his MBA in Finance from the premier XLRI Jamshedpur. Following his MBA, Ishan spent years in the high-stakes corridors of corporate finance and private equity, working with ICICI Bank and later joining Flipkart's corporate development and M&A division. At Flipkart, Ishan worked closely with the founding teams evaluating strategic mergers, capital allocation, and startup ecosystems. During the turbulent market volatility of 2020, while legacy brokerages suffered infrastructure crashes and regulatory inquiries, Groww's disciplined financial and tech foundation enabled it to onboard millions of new retail investors who were entering the stock market for the first time.
